For example, in a classroom, educators strive to create learning experiences for students “using differentiation, including adjusting content, process, product, and learning environment based upon student readiness levels, learning styles, interests, and personal goals” (International Society for Technology in Education, 2011). Using that same foundation, it can be applied to the education and development of teachers: “Coach teachers in and model design and implementation of technology-enhanced learning experiences” (International Society for Technology in Education, 2011). When facilitating professional development sessions, remember to “[differentiate], [adjust] content, process, product and learning environment based upon [teacher] readiness levels, learning styles, interests, and personal [and professional] goals” (International Society for Technology in Education, 2011). Just like students, teachers need opportunities to explore their own interests and venture into those topics at a personalized level that works for their individual learning styles.
